Group Times at Buttercups Preschools
Group times at Buttercups Preschools are an opportunity to follow and extend on children's interests, offering a range of educational elements in one experience. We have three specific learning groups daily, to take in to account different attention spans, stages and interests. Children are invited to participate and contribute in a way that they feel comfortable.
Today, the Koru group (our eldest group of children) did some work around primary colours, having the opportunity to share colour knowledge through sign language and also te reo Maori. The tamariki also sang "I can sign a rainbow" together, once the colours were in line and mixed to the perfect shade, (using water and coloured dye).
This is an example of the daily experiences provided for children at Buttercups! With our programme planning being entirely child-led, our teaching team works with the children's interests, offering experiences that are aligned with progressing individual learning goals.
